Winter Weatherize your Home

Water damage can cost up to 3,000 to 4,000 dollars in repairs. As the weather gets cooler, follow these simple tips to prevent pipes from bursting in your home.

1.Keep cabinet doors open during cold spells. This way, warm air can circulate around pipes.

2. Keep a slow trickle of water flowing through faucets, especially if the pipes for faucets run through unheated or uninsulated areas of your home.

3. Consider shutting off outdoor faucets. Find the shut-off valve in the basement or crawl space and turn it to "off." If you do this, be sure to drain the faucet completely.

In the event that you suffer from water damage this season, call Servpro of Grand Junction at 970-241-8181. We will make your water loss "Like it never even happened."
